KBIF HMONG NEW YEAR BOOTH TEAMUP The Hmong New Year Celebration, the largest and most prestigious Hmong event globally, takes place annually in December at the Fresno Fairgrounds in Fresno, CA. Attendees across the nation travel extensively to partake in traditional rituals, adorn themselves in elaborate embroidered attire, and engage in centuries-old courtship games. A diverse array of information booths and vendors participate. Vendors that sell favorites ranging from sticky rice and barbequed Hmong sausage, spicy papaya salad and a variety of Asian fusion cuisine alongside handcrafted silver jewelry and traditional textiles. The multi-day festival encompasses live performances, pageants, and dance and sports competitions. The event, spanning 4 days from Dec 26th to December 29th, attracts an estimated 100K - 150K attendees throughout the event.
