HISTORY

KBIF 900 AM RADIO IN FRESNO IS THE FIRST RADIO STATION TO INTRODUCE AND PRODUCE SOUTHEAST ASIAN HMONG AND PUNJABI PROGRAMMING TO THE PEOPLE OF THE CENTRAL VALLEY!

Beginning in 1987, KBIF was the first local media outlet for the Indian community of the Central Valley to offer Punjabi programming live every Saturday and Sunday. The weekend programming is replayed Monday thru Friday on our free Punjabi mobile app. Our programming is produced by local leaders, teachers, doctors, professionals, business entrepreneurs and community organizations.

In 1994, KBIF saw a need to provide the large Southeast Asian community (Hmong) with locally produced news, traffic updates, entertainment, community engagement with local organizations, and cultural programming. We are the number one outlet for the Southeast Asian communities of the Central Valley.

As a commercial broadcasting radio station, KBIF 900AM broadcasts a format of talk shows, music, and news in several languages, including Hmong, Lao, Hindi and Punjabi. This station has become a vital part of the Asian community in the Central Valley, providing a platform for local voices and stories.

KBIF 900AM helps businesses grow by reaching the Asian community effectively and at a low cost. We offer affordable advertising options, including production and special offerings.
